NASADAD MEMBERS |
 |
Our members, also known as Single State Authorities (SSAs) have a long history of providing effective and efficient services - with the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SAPTBG) providing the foundation for those efforts, along with revenue provided by the States.
Our members are the official State, District, or Territorial alcohol and other drug abuse (AOD) authority designated by the State's government. The location of the State's AOD Agency within the State government structure varies widely from State-to-State, as do the organizational structures of the agencies themselves.
In general, NASADAD members are charged with the effective and efficient administration of their State's public treatment and prevention systems and are responsible for managing in excess of $4 billion service dollars every year. They provide the leadership for continually improving client outcomes, increasing accountability, and nurturing new and exciting innovations.
